Volunteering

 VTeam

I made lots of great memories while being a volunteer in my first year at Uni and I would like to go again through the most important events by writing this article. I met people that shared the same enthusiasm as me about doing those things that are the least popular but as it was proven they were far more rewarding as any other activities I could have thought of.  For me, VTeam meant more than just an organisation that provided volunteering experience but it was also a way of getting to know more about the local community, and about the interesting places around the Colchester City. Last but not least about the educational system in Britain at different stages, which was an interesting topic and relevant for my studies.

Peer-mentoring

One of the first experiences began when I signed up to be part of a regular team of volunteers, that were going to meet with a student each week at one of the local colleges and give them individual counseling.
