friendship, power, money
Many would say that having a friend is one of the best thing possible for a human being as it is normal for people to create relationships and share ideas and moments from their lives. I believe that this is a true fact and that humans need indeed one another to create and to transform ideas into reality because often, friendships are tangled by a strong cooperation and supportive attitude.
Even though I do not have that many memories with friends that have been supportive, I know what friendship means and I also know that a good friend is hard to be found. Yet, I remember how I felt when I shared those moments of happiness with someone else and what an emotional impact it had.
Where I come from, I learned in school about a writer who lived about 150 years ago which used to live alone. Loneliness was his preferred state and maybe it was also the state where the inspiration came from. However, one of his predominant theme in his writings was the loneliness itself and the black and horrid colour of it. He wished a different life or maybe he was just reflecting on that kind of life. Nevertheless, being alone in this beautiful world and not sharing the present time with others is a waste of time and makes one person’s existence useless.
Napoleon Hill was a very intelligent person that lived at the beginning of the 20th century and who was mainly concerned about how the thinking of a person influences his/her success in a lifespan. Among the successful career in psychology, Napoleon also has been an intriguing and outstanding writer. One of his successful books,’Think and Grow Rich’ sold in more than 20 million of copies at the time was published. Hill’s work analised the role of the personal beliefs in achieving success.
Hill was born in the Southwest Virginia, USA and grew up in a poor family. As himself says in some chapters of his ’16 Laws of Success’ book, this is one of the reasons that motivated him to fight angainst poverty and that poverty is a stage that worths expiriencing but not one in which one has to persist staying.
Hill’s teachings about concentration were the part that attracted me the most in reading his book ‘Laws of success’. According to him, concentration is a powerful state of mind where an individual takes good decsions while giving everything with a secondary importance apart and concentrate on what matters in the present moment. Also, concentration is what keeps people on their track on achieving success because it makes people consistently persue and develop twards a specific direction.
Concentration is also a charachteristic that needs to be developed first but which once developed can bring one massive success because h/she understood that the trained mind that is fixed on a given subject will attract everything is needed to be attracted.
I will start by saying that writing is one of my passions which I did not put into practice as often as I should but which always attracted me.
As this author confirms -‘If I waited till I felt like writing, I’d never write at all.’-Anne Tyler, you are not always sure when is the right moment to write a good piece of writing.
Reading through different books and articles, I started to observe how all the authors transmit their feelings and give a perspective to what they write. I can say that doing so; I learned to separate what is considered a good writing and what is not. So, reading different materials enhanced my ability to analyze more critically but I was still far from writing something by myself.
I even started to think that I could write my own book one day, and from then, every time I would read something interesting I would try to figure out what are were the methods that that author used. How did he do what he did, and so on?
So, to finish this post, my passion for writing started long ago but never became more powerful than it is today and its beginning can be traced back into the days when I would just wonder how good an article can be instead of starting to write one by myself.
This Thursday has been great. I say that because today I have experienced an excellent vibe starting with the morning. As soon as I get back home after finishing my job at 3.40 a.m, I began to realise my situation and acknowledge to myself about all the opportunities that surround me. I changed my clothes and the beddings and slept for a few hours until my journey was about to begin again at 8.30 am. Will be continued… Right, when I started I begin to feel a little bit stressed because I didn’t do what I planned to do. But as the day gets on I realised that the results I perform are with the attitude I prefer having. So, I start planning again and with the hope that the next time I will spot the mistake and correct it. I began, for instance, getting organised and thinking about my aspiration of being a great writer. Likewise, my dreams started materialising in my head and gave me a strong confidence and reliance in my actions. At that point, I knew what I have to do to achieve that position, and the first thing I had to do was to believe. If I had enough faith in my God than all I had to do is to progress and to keep in mind my plans. I kept repeating to myself that I need to be perseverant in my actions, to ‘engage in consistent actions’ if I want my plans to start materialising. But the problem was not with the substance. The content of my intentions was good and constructive, and it had and always will base on constructive ideas. The problem was with the structure of my plans. They had no strong structures to survive to the big amount of challenges that I had to encounter everyday. I realised that I need to get rid of the redundant material and create a structure from which people can understand easily.
